Strengthening Educational and Cultural Ties: Varna Free University’s Collaboration with Chinese Universities

A year ago, Varna Free University and Nantong University in China signed a cooperation agreement, and the first group of PhD and Master’s students was successfully accepted. Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” is already partnering with other Chinese universities in the fields of education, culture, tourism, and expanding its student intake. Among these institutions are universities from the provinces and cities of Guangxi, Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Henan.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China, Varna Free University expressed its principled agreement to participate in the creation of a Center for Admission and Exchange for Cooperation in China. The center will be led by Professors Yang Min, Sara Luo, Eva Chen Han Jun, and UnisFuture, who will be authorized to represent the university in attracting students and facilitating cultural and educational cooperation in China.

The main objectives of the Center for Admission and Exchange for Cooperation at Varna Free University in China are aimed at promoting educational cooperation, supporting academic partnerships, promoting student and faculty exchange programs, and stimulating joint research projects between Varna Free University and leading Chinese educational institutions. The center will not only strengthen academic ties but will also serve as a platform for fostering friendship, cultural understanding, and cooperation between Bulgaria and China.

At the initiative of Professor Yang Min, Varna Free University, in collaboration with several Chinese universities, including Nantong University and Guilin University of Tourism, is working on creating an Alliance for Educational and Cultural Cooperation between Bulgaria and China. The establishment of the Alliance will be a significant event celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China and will mark an important milestone in the history of educational and cultural cooperation between the two countries. The initiators believe that other Chinese universities will join this alliance and that more Chinese and Bulgarian faculty members and students will exchange experiences and knowledge, contributing to the cultural and educational development of both countries.

Through its engagement in these initiatives, Education4Everybody has helped strengthen academic partnerships, promote cross-cultural exchange, and ensure sustainable educational opportunities for students from both Bulgaria and China.
